Before Kim joined Primerica in 1995, she was routinely working 50- to 60-hour weeks as a product manager for a telecommunications company. “If I was going to move up in that company, I was going to have to continue to work at least that many hours or more,” Kim remembers. There was also a chance that her company could transfer her to a different part of the country, even though her family was settled in Illinois.
